The difference between the thickness of the backlight and the thickness of the finished product

Generally, the light guide plate of the led backlight usually uses: an optical grade light guide plate made of acrylic material or a PC sheet produced by injection molding. Injection molding PC board refers to filling the molten molding material into a closed mold at high pressure, which requires the light guide plate and the microstructure to be completed simultaneously in injection molding, and the mold must be made quite strong, so the mold price is also quite expensive , So it must be mass-produced in order to deduct the cost of high-priced molds. The single-sided microstructure array light guide plate generally adopts the manufacturing process of injection molding, and its bottom texture structure can be in the shape of a tiny lens, a microsphere, or a tetrahedral corner prism.

There are many uneven changes on the light guide plate, and the edge light effect ensures that the light emitted by one or more light-emitting diodes is uniformly diffused. Generally, the precision of lithography molds cannot meet the requirements, and molds cut by precision machinery are required. In fact, there are many complicated multilayer optical films to make full use of the light source and uniformly project to the user. It is necessary to use very expensive optical design to design the light guide plate with many uneven distribution and depth.
